There’s something magical about summer evenings spent outdoors with family. Pack up your lawn chairs or a cozy blanket, grab some snacks, and head out for a night of live music under the stars. While the kids dance, play with friends, and soak up the fun, parents can relax and enjoy the music and community atmosphere. From singing along to favorite songs to sharing laughs on the grass, summer concerts create the kind of simple moments that become treasured family memories for years to come. Check out our Summer Concert Series Guide and start planning your next memorable night out!
Most concerts are free, family-friendly and all are in the Bowie-Crofton-Odenton area or a short drive away.
****Make sure to confirm the concert information with the venue before heading out. Changes in date, time, or performer may occur due to weather or other conditions.
Thank you to our sponsor @ Music Together Chesapeake for making this guide possible!
Each week with Music Together Chesapeake, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them® gather for 45 minutes of fun-filled family music time. Families are led in music activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions (with child-friendly instruments, of course). It’s so much fun you won’t realize how much learning is taking place! Music Together nurtures each child’s natural musicality in a playful, musically rich learning environment. Our research-based music classes are designed to be non-formal and non-performance oriented, so your child can learn at his or her own pace, in a way that’s developmentally appropriate- through play!
You’ll take home the award-winning music used in class, along with an illustrated songbook and other resources. As you discover new ways to play with music all week long, you’ll be supporting your child’s music-learning and overall development---even if you don’t think of yourself as a great singer or dancer.
Join a class this summer in Annapolis, Crofton, or Severna Park, and experience how much fun your family can have making Music Together!
