WHY YOUR TODDLER OR PRESCHOOLER IS NOT “TOO YOUNG” FOR DISNEY WORLD!

By Sarah Maisel, Independent Travel Consultant March 13, 2019

Are you putting off your family’s trip to Disney World because you believe your child needs to be a certain age or height to make it “worth it?” Let me explain why you are not wasting precious vacation time or money taking a preschooler or toddler to Disney, and why visiting with little ones can be the most magical way to experience it all.

The magic is real!

Don't blink: Kids are growing up fast these days. You have a short number of years to introduce your child to Mickey, Belle, or another favorite character while they really believe. Ask any parent who has experienced this and they'll tell you, it's pretty magical to witness.

So many rides are just right for everyone in the family.

A majority of Disney World attractions don't have a height restriction - there are 25 attractions without one in Magic Kingdom alone! Next up are rides with 38" and 40" minimums that are suitable for slightly older kids. And if Mom and Dad want to take turns riding the most thrilling rides, there’s a child swap feature that makes it super easy to switch off without long waits in line.

Their pace is just right for soaking up the details.

You don't have to “do it all” to satisfy little ones. Disney World offers play areas to explore, music and delicious smells, flora and fauna, fountains and castles, trains and monorails and boats to ride, and so on. Taking things slow can be absolutely magical. Preschoolers need lots of breaks, but this can be a perk for you, too. With an expertly planned itinerary, you’ll fit in all the best experiences and still have downtime for napping, swimming, and relaxed dining.

The memories are yours forever.

Don’t fret over whether your child will remember everything. Kids live in the moment anyway. YOU will remember, and memories of your little one experiencing Disney World are a priceless souvenir!
