Diapers. Who knew something with such a less than pleasant job could have so many variables. As a mother of three with my oldest almost six years old, and my youngest almost one year old I've done my fair share of diapering. I strictly cloth diapered my first baby. Then cloth diapered baby two except outside of the home, then I used disposables. When baby three was on her way I realized I could only do so much laundry and I had to draw the line. Abigail, baby number three would be 100% a disposable baby. Well then the decision making on brand and style came into play. I've always been a frugal mom so store brand, whatever is on sale, matching up with a coupon, that was the winner. However I couldn't find any consistency between diapers this way. One brand a size 1 fit perfectly, in another a size 1 caused leaks. So, I went with what I was given after having her by the nurses, Pampers. This is now what Abigail wears. So when I was asked to give Pampers Baby Dry in size 5 or 6 I try, I was eager to do so. Lily, my middle child is just two years old. While potty trained during the day, she wears diapers overnight, just in case. Some mornings she is completely dry, other nights she's up multiple times because she's soaked. If I couldn't get consistency with her bladder, I hoped to get consistency with the brand of diapers, Pampers.
We started our trial and I was surprised with how thin they are. It had me concerned at first but after researching more Pampers designed them this way on purpose. They wanted our children to have a tighter fit in their diaper meaning less leaks. Then, their "thin to thick technology" allows the wetness to distribute in the diaper more evenly. So, goodbye saggy bottoms caused by a heavy wetness zone. Let's be honest, who hasn't experienced a child with a soggy bottom diaper experience?
Now, would they really help her stay asleep through the night, even when wet? Our little ones have such sensitive skin and they can tell when wetness has hit their bodies causing them often, to wake. Pampers kept this in mind when updating their line of Pampers Baby Dry Diapers. Mimicking their Swaddlers and Cruisers line, they have added the Extra Absorb Channels. Making them the first brand to carry this innovation through their entire line of diapers.
For the past week, Lily has been wearing Pampers Baby Dry Diapers and has stayed asleep through the night. Each morning she has woken up with a secure diaper, yay for no loose tabs, and a tight non-soggy diaper. These diapers have worked great for myself, an overly tired mother and Lily, an active, in desperate need of her sleep two year old little girl.
